The aggressive gradient shading further makes them difficult to read. The majority of SubD icons are quite busy and difficult to read at first glance due to the combination of smaller blue figures with thick lines and overly-round general shape.
With the inclusion of SubD tools in Rhino 7 and introducing new icons for its tools, the latter seem like a noticeable departure from the clean and nearly flawless look of the classic Rhino icons that we used to expect from “McNeel”.
